We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive Buyer – Online Exclusives to join our team.
Role Overview:
As the Buyer for Online Exclusives, you will be at the forefront of enhancing and sourcing our dropship range of products tailored to our online customers. Your role will involve identifying emerging trends and sourcing high-value products across five key categories to meet our strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams and suppliers to ensure our Online Exclusives range aligns with Fantastic Furniture's core assortment and pricing strategies. Your goal will be to create an appealing offer that surpasses competitors on price, value, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Range Development: Identify new opportunities and source products that align with our Online Exclusives assortment strategy.
- Collaboration: Work with the Online Exclusives Operational Team, Marketing, Digital, and Core Range buyers to ensure seamless integration and execution.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with dropship suppliers, ensuring alignment with our customer value proposition and quality standards.
- Operational Excellence: Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible value and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Customer Focus: Work closely with Retail Operations, Customer Service, and Digital teams to understand customer demand and expectations, ensuring our range meets these needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyse sales performance, manage product and supplier performance, and resolve any issues to meet financial and customer targets.
- Sustainability: Support sustainability initiatives and ensure that products are sustainably sourced and manufactured.
Success Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a buying role, preferably with furniture retail experience.
- E-Com buying experience: Buying experience in E-Commerce/marketplaces, particularly with furniture/bulky items strongly regarded.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Traits: High attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved with moving product (furniture) around and contribute to the team to achieve goals and targets!
