Merchandise Planning Lead – Chullora, NSW

We're on the lookout for an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive strategic planning across sales, margin, and inventory at Fantastic Furniture. Based at our Chullora Support Office, this role is key to achieving financial goals, optimising product assortments, and ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage merchandise financial plans and budgets through both top-down and bottom-up analysis.
- Build and execute merchandise strategies to deliver on sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Partner closely with Buyers to shape and deliver optimal assortment plans within Open to Buy parameters.
- Forecast and reforecast sales, stock, and profit to proactively manage business performance.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning, Supply Chain, and Store teams to maintain stock availability and ensure timely deliveries.
- Lead promotional and clearance planning initiatives across functions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a Merchandise Planner to support team and business success.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and overall business outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years' experience in merchandise financial planning within a retail environment.
- Strong retail mathematics and advanced Excel capability.
- Experience using merchandise planning systems and ERP platforms.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop others.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A resilient, detail-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
