Finance & Operations Systems Accountant
Chullora, NSW | Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Finance & Operations Systems Accountant to join our team in Chullora. This is a key role within the Finance function, acting as the subject matter expert for finance systems and driving continuous improvement across business processes.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support ridging Finance and IT—ensuring systems, processes, and data are aligned to deliver business performance, compliance, and growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the go-to support or all finance systems and related projects
- Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements and enhancements
- Gather requirements, document user stories, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support financial system processes including general ledger setup, reporting, and data integrity
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and user documentation
- Provide training and support to finance and business users
- Ensure system changes align with accounting standards and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate)
- Assist with projects, system upgrades, and integrations across the business
About You
You're a technically strong accountant with a passion for systems, process improvement, and collaboration.
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years' experience in a similar Finance Systems or Accounting role
- Strong financial accounting knowledge
- Prior exposure to ERP implementations or system upgrades
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
Highly Regarded:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, or MS Fabric
- Background in retail or manufacturing environments
